Is Alkaline Water finally going mainstream?

There was a recent Forbes article that covered the rise of Aquahydrate which is brand of bottled Alkaline Water. The company is currently being backed by A-Lister: Mark Walhberg and music mogul: Sean “Diddy” Combs. While the article mainly focuses on the origins and the business side of things, it’s a good time to take note that Alkaline Water never really had this type of commercial appeal. While Alkaline Water has been out for decades, it tended to fall under the alternative health category thanks to heavy handed health claims.

Regardless if you’re a fan or not, both these gentlemen believe in the product. Walhberg’s quote pretty much sums up what we’re all feeling:

“I’ve seen the benefits of it firsthand, so I try to encourage as many people as possible to use it,” he says. “There’s two kinds of people in the world, believers and naysayers.”

A lot of the Alkaline Water companies use fear or over complicate things to sell to their customers, while that puts money in the bank in the short term, it doesn’t help spread awareness. Hats off to these guys for paving the way, everyone needs to be drinking Alkaline Water and this is a great start.
